Missile strike on civilian object in Odesa passed off as ‘destruction of Harpoon warehouse’ by Russian propaganda

On July 16, 2022, Russia’s aircraft fired a missile at Odesa Region, having caused a fire in a warehouse of the manufacturing and trading company. Meanwhile, the Russian military agency reported they had allegedly destroyed the Ukrainian Army’s warehouse with Harpoon anti-ship missiles inside.

The relevant statement was made by Odesa Regional Military Administration Spokesperson Serhii Bratchuk on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In a regular report, Russia’s ministry of shame and murders molded Harpoon missiles from furniture boards. In fact, the Russian missile hit a warehouse of the manufacturing and trading company, with not even a hint of military equipment inside,” Bratchuk said.

That’s how Russians report on their ‘heroic deeds’, firing cruise missiles at civilian objects and killing Ukrainian civilians, Bratchuk added.

“And we, with Neptune and Harpoon missiles, will continue to destroy Russian warships. There is a time for everything – we trust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Bratchuk stressed.

A reminder that, on July 16, 2022, Russia’s Tu-95 strategic bombers launched a missile strike on Odesa Region from the Stavropol direction. The aggressor’s Kh-101 missile hit a warehouse of the manufacturing and trading company, having caused a fire of 1,000 square meters in area.
