Russian warplanes not entering Ukrainian-controlled airspace for over 2.5 months – Defense Ministry

Russian military aircraft and helicopters have not flown into the airspace over the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for more than two-and-a-half months.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"Our air defense is armed with weapons that are far from the most modern weapons, but we use them as efficiently as possible. The Ukrainian Air Force operates during the war under conditions where it is necessary to constantly move and avoid enemy missile attacks. Accordingly, the enemy, not wanting to be shot down, changes the tactics of using its aircraft," said Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Command of the Ukrainian Air Force.

On July 7, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed two Russian cruise missiles, an ammunition warehouse, two command and observation posts, ten pieces of military equipment and manpower .
