Ukrainian troops repulse assaults in Slovyansk and Kharkiv directions

Ukrainian defenders repulsed Russian assaults in Slovyansk and Kharkiv directions and stopped the enemy’s offensive near the town of Spirne in Donetsk region.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on June 28, published on Facebook.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, the Belarussian troops reinforce the defense positions in the border areas of Brest region. Military call-ups of those liable for service are planned to be held in Zhlobin district of Gomel region from June 28 to July 16.

According to the General Staff, demonstrative and provocative actions by units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the areas bordering Ukraine and the reconnaissance activities to clarify the Ukrainian positions are not ruled out.

In Siversky direction, in order to restrain Ukraine’s Defense Forces, Russian troops hold up to three battalion tactical groups in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions.

The enemy fired artillery in the area of localities of Turya, Krasnopillia, Khmelivka, and Popivka in Sumy region and the village of Hirsk in Chernihiv region.

In Kharkiv direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes on Zolochiv, Slatyne, Verkhniy Saltiv, Pechenihy, Korobochkyne, Rubizhne, Peremoha, Yavirske, Ruska Lozova, Tsyrkuny, Chepil, Ivanivka, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Petrivka, Vitrivka, Svitlychne, and Udy.

The invaders also fired on the northern part of Kharkiv. An enemy airstrike from Ka-52 helicopters was recorded near the village of Yavirske.

The Ukrainian defenders repulsed the assault and forced Russian troops to retreat in the areas of Dementiyivka, Dovhalivka, and Zalyman. The enemy conducted air reconnaissance by drone near Kutuzivka and Tsyrkuny.

In Slovyansk direction, Ukrainian troops stopped an enemy assault in the area of the villages of Dolyna and Mazanivka, forcing the invaders to retreat.

The enemy artillery strikes were recorded in the areas of Adamivka, Krasnopillia, Dolyna, Dibrovne, Barvinkove, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne, Hrushuvakha, Kurulka, and Velyka Komyshuvakha. Enemy drones were operating near the village of Dibrovne.

In Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops did not take active action. They fired MLRS near Mayaky, Slovyansk, Zvanivka, Serebrianka, Pereyizne, and Zolotarivka.

In Lysychansk direction, the enemy fired mortars and tube artillery on Lysychansk and Vovchoyarivka districts.

The invaders do not stop trying to take control of the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway. They also launched an offensive in the direction of Spirne but failed and retreated.

In Bakhmut direction, Russian troops fired tube and rocket artillery near Berestove, Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Klynove, Vershyna, Novoluhanske, Travneve, and Zaitseve, launched an airstrike on Shumy district.

In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy fired artillery on Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Shevchenko, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Poltavka, Hirke, Staroukrayinka, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Kamyanske.

With several Ka-52 helicopters, the invaders launched strikes near Avdiivka.

In the Southern Buh direction, the Russians continued firing tube and rocket artillery in the areas of Osokorivka, Velyka Kostromka, Trudoliubivka, Shyroke, Kobzartsi, Liubomyrivka, Blahodatne, Kulbakine, Shevchenkove, Posad-Pokrovske, and Stepova Dolyna.

Enemy air strikes were recorded near Potiomkyne, Velykyi Artakov, and Oleksandrivka.

In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the Russian Federation holds two high-precision weapon carriers with up to 16 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles on alert to launch missile strikes on targets in Ukraine.

As reported, as of June 28, the Russian army lost 35,250 service members.
