One killed, five injured by Russian missile strikes in Cherkasy region

One person was killed and five were injured by Russian missiles in the Cherkasy region on Sunday, June 26.

Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, said this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"Today the enemy launched missile strikes on the Cherkasy region. We have two strikes near the regional center. One person was killed and five were injured. An infrastructure facility was damaged," the statement said.

Cherkasy last came under missile attack on May 5. Two missiles were then shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces.
