Ukrainian serviceman killed as Russians fire about 30 missiles at Zhytomyr Region

One Ukrainian serviceman has been killed and one injured in Russia’s missile strikes on Zhytomyr Region this morning.

The relevant statement was made by Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Head Vitalii Bunechko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Starting from 04:15 a.m., the enemy launched missile strikes on Zhytomyr Region. About 30 missiles were fired at the region’s territory,” Bunechko wrote.

According to the preliminary data, military infrastructure facilities were slightly damaged. One Ukrainian serviceman was killed and one injured. The further details are yet to be checked.

A reminder that, in the morning of June 25, 2022, Russian invaders fired 24 missiles with aircrafts from the territory of Belarus at military objects situated near the city of Zhytomyr.
