Enemy plans to lay additional railway branches in Kharkiv direction

In Kharkiv direction, the enemy tries to prevent Ukraine’s Defense Forces from reaching the state border of Ukraine and the rear of the Russian grouping of troops in Slovyansk direction.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian invasion as of 06:00 on June 18, published on Facebook.

"In order to restore supply routes through railway overpasses, the enemy plans to lay additional railway branches. The Russian occupiers fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Kozacha Lopan, Petrivka, Korobochkine, and Pryshyb," the report reads.

In Volyn, Polissya, and Siversky directions, the situation has not changed significantly.

In Slovyansk direction, the main efforts of the enemy continue to focus on the offensive towards Slovyansk, the fighting continues. The aggressor systematically shelled artillery in the areas of Dibrivne, Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Hrushuvakha, and Adamivka. In the area of ​​ Krasnopillia, the invaders tried to resume assault operations, fighting continues.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to focus its efforts in Sievierodonetsk and Bakhmut directions.

The enemy did not take active action in Lyman direction. The invaders fired artillery in the areas of Sydorove and Mayaky.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy continues to fire from artillery and MLRS on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure near Lysychansk, Metiolkino, Ustynivka, and Voronove.

The battle of Sievierodonetsk continues. In order to improve their tactical situation, the enemy units tried to carry out assault operations outside the town but failed.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired artillery on the Ukrainian positions and the civilian infrastructure in the areas of Zolote, Spirne, Berestove, Soledar, Klynove, and Troitske.

Not far from Hirske, Berestove, and Kodemy, the Ukrainian troops once again inflicted losses on the enemy. After unsuccessful assaults, the occupiers retreated.

As a result of the fire damage inflicted by the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the units of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 1st army corps suffered significant losses and were withdrawn from the area of ​​combat operations to restore combat capability.

In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy did not take active action. The Russians fired tube and rocket artillery on civilian infrastructure of Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Opytne, Volodymyrivka, Novosilka, and Shcherbaky.

In the Southern Buh direction, in order to deter our troops, the enemy fired artillery, mortars, and MLRS on Shyroke, Blahodatne, Shevchenkove, Prybuzke, and Topolyne. At the same time, the enemy tries to reinforce its advanced positions and mine dangerous areas along the Inhulets River.
