Ukraine Army needs long-range artillery in Luhansk Region, Russia loses in direct confrontation – Haidai

Ukrainian defenders need long-range artillery in Luhansk Region to push the enemy’s artillery back. But, in direct confrontation, Russia is definitely losing.

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Free Luhansk Region’s cities are ‘covering’ each other. All settlements are destroyed with enemy fire daily. We need long-range artillery to push the enemy’s artillery back. Then, [Russian] orcs will not be able to shell our cities and, in direct confrontation, Russia is definitely losing,” Haidai wrote.

In his words, Russians are making every effort to seize Sievierodonetsk and cut off the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. It is difficult to keep the defense in Sievierodonetsk, but Russian invaders have not gained control over the city.

According to Haidai, Lysychansk is remaining under continuous enemy fire. Russian invaders are shelling the city with heavy weapons, deliberately targeting the areas, where civilians may hide.
