Mi-17 helicopters on their way to Ukraine from U.S. - Yermak

Mi-17 military helicopters for the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being loaded at a U.S. Air Force base.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President's Office, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Mi-17s for Ukraine are already being loaded at a base of the U.S. Air Force. Beautiful birds," Yermak wrote.

President Joe Biden's administration on June 1 announced another security assistance package for Ukraine worth $700 million. It includes High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and munitions to them, counter-artillery radars, air surveillance radars, 1,000 Javelin anti-tank missiles, 6,000 anti-armor weapons, 15,000 155 mm artillery rounds, four Mi-17 helicopters, 15 tactical vehicles, spare parts and equipment.
