Russian armed aggression affects over 726 children in Ukraine

A total of 261 children have been killed and 465 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over 726 children in Ukraine have been affected by the Russian armed aggression. As of June 4, 2022, the number of those killed remained unchanged (261 children). The number of those injured increased to 465,” the report states.

These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (187), Kyiv Region (116), Kharkiv Region (112), Chernihiv Region (68), Luhansk Region (52), Kherson Region (52), Mykolaiv Region (47), Zaporizhzhia Region (29), Sumy Region (17), the city of Kyiv (16) and Zhytomyr Region (15).

On June 2, 2022, a woman and her two children, 10 and 7, were injured in Russia’s artillery strike on the village of Marianske, Dnipropetrovsk Region.

A total of 1,938 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine as a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, and 182 of them were destroyed completely.
