Russian invaders open fire on 46 settlements, kill three civilians in JFO area

Russian invaders have opened fire on 46 settlements in Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region over the past day, leaving at least three civilians killed and seven injured.

The relevant statement was made by the Joint Forces Task Force on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

All over the contact line, the enemy is using combat aviation, multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery, tanks, mortars, launching air and missile strikes on civil infrastructure facilities and residential areas.

“Russian occupiers opened fire on 46 settlements in Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region, having damaged or destroyed 39 civilian objects, including 33 residential houses, secondary school, nursery school, reinforced concrete structures plant, combined heat and power plant workshop and store. As a result, at least three civilians were killed and seven injured,” the report states.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders have repulsed eight enemy attacks in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past day. Battles are still raging within two more locations.

On May 30, 2022, the Ukrainian military destroyed one Russian tank, four artillery systems, five armored fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles in the JFO area. In addition, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down Russia’s Kh-59MK cruise missile.
