Enemy trying to deploy air defense systems on Zmiinyi Island

Russia is trying to deploy air defense systems on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.

Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman for the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Last night in Odesa and the Odesa region passed calmly, without shelling. Our defense forces continue to perform combat missions. We are looking at Transnistria, what imitation of certain movements is taking place there, we are in control of the whole process. The same applies to Zmiinyi Island, where the enemy is trying to deploy air defense systems. But the relevant decisions by our city leadership will be fatal for the enemy," Bratchuk said.

According to him, in the Mykolaiv direction, the enemy uses artillery systems.

On May 7, Ukraine's Armed Forces inflicted many strikes on Zmiinyi Island, destroying two Raptor-class patrol boats, a small landing craft and a Tor surface-to-air missile system, and killing 80 Russian soldiers.
