Russia preparing to intensify offensive on Mykolayiv, Kryvyi Rih

In Southern Buh and Tavriysky directions, the enemy holds the occupied territories and tries to create conditions for intensifying the offensive on Mykolayiv and Kryvyi Rih.

“According to the latest information, as of 18:00 on May 4, in Southern Buh and Tavriysky directions, the invaders’ separate units of the 8th and 49th combined arms armies, the 22nd army corps, the Black Sea Fleet coastal forces, and airborne troops conduct military operations to hold the temporarily occupied territories and create conditions for intensifying the offensive in Kherson – Mykolayiv and Kherson – Kryvyi Rih directions,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

In Volyn, Polissia, and Siversky directions, the units of the Belarusian Armed Forces continue to carry out tasks to strengthen the section of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions. Strengthening the air defense system in Gomel region, training of electronic warfare units are observed.

In the future, demonstration and provocative actions near the state border of Ukraine are not ruled out, the report reads.

“To maintain tensions on the border and prevent the redeployment of reserves of our troops to threatening areas, the enemy keeps the units of the 90th tank division of the Central Military District near the Ukrainian-Russian border near the village of Kozino, Kursk region. The intensification of shelling from the mentioned district on the territory of Sumy region is not ruled out,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs.

In addition, in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov waters, the Russian Black Sea Fleet continues to carry out tasks to isolate the combat area, conduct reconnaissance, and provide fire support in Prymorsky direction.

The General Staff considers that these ships may be involved in launching missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. At present, there are three carriers of Kalibr naval-based cruise missiles in the Black Sea, which are ready to fire missiles.
