Kuleba: Ukraine will always remember what our Slovak friends did for us

Ukraine will always remember what its Slovak friends have done for it: accepting refugees, humanitarian aid, arms supplies, support for EU candidate status and tariff-free export permits.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Ukraine will always remember what our Slovak friends did for us. Warm welcome for Ukrainians fleeing the war, humanitarian aid, arms supplies, support for granting Ukraine EU candidate status and allowing tariff-free exports to the EU. We are lucky to have Slovakia as a neighbor,” he wrote.

According to media reports, the European Commission may propose EU ambassadors to discuss a sixth package of sanctions against Russia on Tuesday, May 3. New restrictive measures against Russia may be announced by May 9.

In addition, it is planned to make a certain formula of exceptions for Hungary and Slovakia, taking into account the difficulties they may face in finding alternative supply options to Russian oil.
