Ukrainian, Icelandic diplomats discuss joint action to stop Russian aggression

Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzheppar and Iceland's Foreign Minister Thordis Gylfadottir have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and joint action to stop Russian aggression.

Dzheppar announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"On the margins of UNGA 76 with Iceland Foreign Minister Thordis Kolbrun we discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, joint actions to stop Russian aggression against Ukraine, including in the UN. Grateful for Iceland's steadfast solidarity with Ukrainian people," she said.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities and residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles.
