Five civilians were killed, including two children in Russian shelling of Donetsk region during Easter.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“Today [April 24], when Orthodox Christians celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, Russians killed five people in Donetsk region. Among those killed are two children, aged 5 and 14, from the village of Krasnohorivka of the Ocheretyn community. Three more people died in Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka," he wrote.

He added that Russian troops fired along the entire line of demarcation. In particular, the settlements of Avdiivka, Ocheretyn and Svitlodar communities came under fire.

In addition, five rockets fired from a Grad multiple launch rocket system hit the territory of the Avdiivka Coke Plant in Donetsk region.

According to the infographics shared by Kyrylenko, as a result of Russian attacks, 266 civilians were killed and 840 wounded in Donetsk region from February 24 to April 24 (as of 20:00).
