Invaders open fire at Avdiyivka Coke Chemical Plant

Russian troops struck the Avdiyivka Coke Chemical Plant in Donetsk region on Sunday, April 24.

This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“On April 24, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out another shelling of the city of Avdiyivka in Donetsk region using a multiple rocket launch system. One of the largest enterprises of the country’s coke industry, Avdiivka Coke Chemical Plant PJSC, came under the occupiers’ fire,” the report says.

According to prosecutors, battery 3 of the coke workshop 1, the CHHP, and the capture workshop were damaged by the strike.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted over a violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Ukrinform reported, two girls, 5 and 14, were killed in Russian shelling in Donetsk region on Easter.
