Enemy sustains significant losses in Kherson direction

Russian troops suffer significant losses in personnel and equipment in the Kherson direction.

The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Maksym Marchenko, said this in a video address on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Our Armed Forces have some gains in the Kherson direction. The enemy suffers significant losses in personnel and equipment," he said.

He also said that last night the enemy again tried to launch a missile strike on residential areas of Odesa, but thanks to Ukrainian air defense units, two missiles were shot down.

On April 23, the enemy launched a missile strike on Odesa from Russian Tu-95 strategic aircraft in the Caspian Sea. Three of the eight missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems, whereas the remaining missiles hit the city's infrastructure, including an apartment building and a cemetery.

At least eight people, including a three-month-old child, have been killed and 18 people have been injured in the attack.
