Ukraine’s Armed Forces destroy about 50 enemy soldiers, 14 units of equipment in southern direction

In the south of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed two attacks of the Russian aggressors, who tried to advance to administrative border of Mykolaiv region.

The Operational Command South said in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

The situation in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions remained steadily tense on April 21.

"The planned humanitarian corridor from the occupied villages of Kherson region to Dnipropetrovsk region did not work. The invaders did not follow the agreements, did not cease the shelling and detained the evacuation column at the checkpoint. The vehicles were forced to return and could not take people out of the occupied villages of Kherson region,” the Operational Command South said.

The enemy continues to look for ways to advance west of the occupied defensive lines. The Armed Forces repulsed two attacks by Russian troops in an attempt to advance to the administrative border with Mykolaiv region. During the fighting, the enemy suffered losses and retreated.

Missile and artillery units hit 15 enemy targets on April 21. "The total losses of the enemy on the southern defensive line [last] day totaled 51 rushists and 14 units of equipment. The invaders were left without another T-72 tank, without another rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Their forces were reduced by 9 armored vehicles and 3 motor vehicles," the Operational Command South said.

As reported, on April 21, Ukrainian air defense units destroyed 15 enemy air targets, including three places, three helicopters and nine Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles.
