Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated more than 900 settlements from invaders - Zelensky

As of Wednesday, April 20, more than 900 settlements in Ukraine were liberated from Russian invaders.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an evening address, Ukrinform reports.

According to the President, the return to normal life of the liberated cities and communities of Ukraine continues.

“The return to normal life of the liberated cities and communities of Ukraine continues. 934 settlements have already been liberated. Police resumed work in 435 settlements. Local self-government started working in 431 communities. The work of humanitarian headquarters was launched in 361 settlements. We are gradually restoring people's access to medical and educational services, to social protection bodies. We are restoring road infrastructure, electricity, gas and water supply,” he said.

At the same time, he stressed that the biggest threats are mines and tripwire mines left by Russian invaders and shells that did not explode.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
