Zelensky, European Commission President discuss increase of security aid to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen discussed the increase of security assistance to Ukraine in the fight against Russian invaders and the issue of post-war reconstruction.

President Zelensky wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

“Informed President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen about the provision of the completed questionnaire - an important step towards the EU membership! Discussed the increase of security aid to Ukraine in the face of the Russian Federation’s aggression. Also discussed postwar reconstruction. We appreciate the support of the EU!” Zelensky said.

As Ukrinform reported, during a visit to Kyiv on April 8, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen handed over a questionnaire for the EU candidate country status to the President Volodymyr Zelensky.

On April 18, Zelensky handed over the first part of the completed questionnaire to Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas.
