Russia’s combat losses reach almost 20,800 personnel - General Staff

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the estimated enemy combat losses have reached 20,800 personnel.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The total estimated losses of the enemy, from February 24 to April 19, also include: tanks – 802, armored combat vehicles – 2,063, artillery systems - 386, MLRS - 132, air defense means - 67, aircraft - 169, helicopters - 150, vehicles – 1,495, ships/boats - 8, fuel tanks – 76, UAVs of the operational and tactical level – 158, special equipment – 27, and mobile SRBM systems – 4.

Data on losses are being clarified as the calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities.

Since February 24, Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
