Invaders wiping out settlements in Luhansk region, being unable to advance

In Luhansk region, due to Russian invaders failing to penetrate the cities, they keep pummeling them from afar.

This was announced on Telegram by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haidai, Ukrinform reports.

"Due to the inability to advance into our cities, the Russians began shelling them from distance… Shelling still continues," wrote the head of the region.

He recalled that overnight Monday, the enemy managed to break through toward the town of Kreminna.

The invaders aimed at seven residential buildings and the sports pearl of the city - the Olympus Arena, where a fire is now raging. Rescuers are working hard as a forest area is right behind the facility.

According to Haidai, seven locals were rescued from under the rubble of three affected houses in Rubizhne, while two injured were rushed to a hospital in Sievierodonetsk.

In the city of Zolote, there are two killed and four wounded in city shelling. Another more households caught fire in Komyshuvas, Popasna district. In the late hours of Sunday, the invaders fired at the Patrol Police Department in Lysychansk where six policemen were injured, the head of the regional military administration added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the territory of Luhansk region remains under attack by the Russian aggressors. Multiple households, infrastructure and educational facilities were destroyed in the region, while all hospitals were hit by enemy strikes.
