Dnipro authorities request that Russians take corpses of their soldiers from local morgues

Dnipro Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Lysenko has called on Russian mothers to come and take the bodies of Russian soldiers, as there are more than 1,500 of them in local morgues.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipro Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Lysenko on Current Time [Nastoyashcheye Vremya] TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Now Dnipro-based morgues are containing the bodies of more than 1,500 Russian soldiers, and no one wants to take them away… We hope some of Russian mothers will be able to come and take their sons, whom they had been raising throughout their lives. We already have four refrigerators filled with the corpses of Russian soldiers. After all, they are somebody’s children,” Lysenko told.

In his words, local authorities will help to organize this procedure.

A reminder that, as of April 13, 2022, the Ukrainian Army destroyed about 19,800 Russian troops.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
