Invaders planning to hold parade in Mariupol on May 9

Russian invaders are planning to hold a parade in Mariupol on May 9 if their "special operation" succeeds.

Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"According to our information, [self-proclaimed 'mayor' of Mariupol] Ivashchenko was ordered to clean part of the central district of the city from debris and the bodies of the dead to ensure a parade is held on May 9. Judging by the whole array of data, the occupiers plan to hold a 'carnival of victory' in Mariupol on May 9 if their 'special operation' succeeds," he wrote.

According to Andriushchenko, there is no equipment or people to hold such events in the city.

Ukraine's SBU State Security Service on April 9 approved a notice of suspicion for Kostiantyn Ivashchenko, whom the Russian invaders declared the "mayor" of Mariupol. He faces life imprisonment.
