Russian invaders torture and kill elderly people - Denisova

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russian forces are massively torturing and killing elderly people.

The relevant statement by Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova was posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Denisova took part in 12th Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing within the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, which began its work at the UN headquarters in New York.

"During my speech, I stressed that during the war in Ukraine, elderly people who cannot travel to safe regions are forced to live in the occupation or in the besieged cities, where they are tortured and killed by the Russian occupiers," Denisova said.
