Britain to send another £100M worth of weapons to Ukraine - Johnson

The United Kingdom will soon send a new batch of modern anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons to Ukraine.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this at a press conference in London, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The prime minister said that to support Ukraine, the UK will send another £100 million of weapons, including Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles, “which fly at three times the speed of sound, another 800 anti-tank missiles and precision munitions capable of lingering in the sky until directed to their target”.

He added that Britain would hand over a batch of non-lethal military equipment to Ukraine.

According to him, London would also continue to increase sanctions pressure on Russia.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
