Russians kill about 320 civilians in Bucha, half of them already identified

In Bucha, Kyiv region, 163 locals killed by the occupiers were identified, accounting for about half of the bodies found in the town.

"To date, we have been able to identify the 163 killed. These are residents of our town who were cynically killed, brutally tortured by the Russians. We know their last names, first names, patronymics, where they lived, who they were – father, or son, or wife – in one or another family," Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk told the Voice of America in an interview.

He added that about 320 bodies of Bucha residents killed by the Russian occupiers had already been collected across the town.

The bodies of killed people continue to be found in Bucha. Most of them died as a result of direct bullet wounds, not artillery shelling.

Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and the entire Kyiv region were liberated from Russian invaders in early April. Mass killings of civilians by the occupiers were recorded in the liberated towns and villages, infrastructure was destroyed, and territories were mined.
