More than 3,200 people evacuated from Berdiansk to Zaporizhia – President's Office

More than 3,200 people, most of them residents of Mariupol, were evacuated from Berdiansk to Zaporizhia on buses and in private cars on March 28.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the President's Office, said this in a statement released on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today we managed to evacuate Mariupol residents from Berdiansk. Fifteen buses carrying 881 people are already in Zaporizhia. Also, 2,350 people arrived in Zaporizhia in their own vehicles, most of them are residents of Mariupol," Tymoshenko said.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said early on Monday that humanitarian corridors would not be opened on March 28 due to possible provocations by Russian invaders.
