Klitschko: 75 civilians killed in Kyiv since war began

Since the Russian invasion began, 75 civilians, including 4 children, have been killed in Kyiv city.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“75 civilians, including 4 children, were killed in the capital. 307 civilians and 16 children were injured,” Klitschko said.

In addition, 87 residential buildings were damaged in Russian shelling of Kyiv city.

“The occupiers are shelling Kyiv, trying to lay siege to us and intimidate us. In Kyiv, 87 residential buildings, 10 private houses, 12 schools and 6 kindergartens have been damaged since the beginning of the Russian invasion,” he said.

The mayor stressed that Ukrainians will continue to fight against the Russian invaders.

“We will continue to fight and we will win. Even in wartime, Kyiv lives and operates. The critical infrastructure of the city, public utilities works. Public transport is running but it a limited mode,” the mayor said.

The war with Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
