3 killed, 13 injured in Russian shelling of village in Mykolaiv region

The Russian invaders fired at the village of Yavkyne of the Bashtansky community in Mykolaiv region, killing three people and wounding 13 more.

The Bashtansky City Council wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Today is another black day for our community. The Rushists used Smerch to fire on civilians in the village of Yavkyne and evacuees from the Snihuriv community. As a result of the enemy attack, three people were killed, 13 were injured, and one is in critical condition. The buildings of the school and the mayor's office were damaged, the number of damaged private buildings is being clarified,” reads the report.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
