In Luhansk region, invaders fire on school and house with people in basements

In Rubizhne, Luhansk region, Russian invaders fired on a school and a private house, where adults and children were probably hiding in basements.

"In Rubizhne, the invaders hit a private house. According to preliminary information, there may be three children in its basement. Due to constant shelling, rescuers are still unable to reach the scene. Also in Rubizhne, Russian troops fired on a secondary school, setting fire to its roof. There are probably people in a basement. Currently, more than 10 houses are on fire in the town. The shelling does not subside," Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Facebook.

He noted that rescuers were waiting for ceasefire and would immediately go to help people.

In Severodonetsk, rescuers put out a large-scale fire in an area of over 3,000 square meters. There are no casualties, Haidai informed.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, missiles hit residential buildings.
