Air defense forces destroy Russian warplane, two missiles, four drones in past day

On March 20, Ukraine’s air defense units downed a Russian warplane, two cruise missiles, and four unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Air Force command shared the news on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops have so far lost 96 warplanes, 118 helicopters, dozens of drones and cruise missiles in 25 days.

It is noted that for the second day in a row, the intensity of enemy raids has decreased. Mostly, the invaders use operational-tactical drones to monitor the results of missile and bomb strikes on the Ukrainian territory.

"That is why the main catch of the Air Force's air defense was drones. Four of them were shot down in different areas. In addition, one enemy warplane and two cruise missiles were downed," the command said.

It is reported that the strike aircraft successfully performed their tasks on ground targets. Su-24m bombers and Su-25 attack aircraft fired missiles and dropped bombs on the sites were enemy hardware is amassed, convoys of tanks, and manpower.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s air defense forces last night shot down three enemy helicopters.
