Russia attempts to justify invasion by ‘military biological activity’ of US – Podolyak

Russia is attempting to justify its invasion of Ukraine by the so-called new evidence of military biological activity of the United States.

The relevant statement was made by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In his words, the war for Russia means the further powerful legal claims and devastating lawsuits in international courts and, realizing this, Russia’s political leadership is looking for any opportunity to find and record on international platforms explanations for its massive and bloody invasion of Ukraine.

“Today [March 18, 2022], at the request of the Russian Federation, an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council took place with an extremely cynical and fake agenda: ‘About the new evidence of military biological activity of the United States in Ukraine’. Now everyone in the world understands the groundlessness and falsity of Russian public claims (despite the enormous expenses on lobbying and propaganda), but Russia is still attempting to present the allegedly new evidence related to the military biological activity of the United States within the territory of Ukraine,” Podolyak noted.

In his words, Russia has been illogical for a long time and, thus, the United States and the prevailing majority of UN Security Council members denied Russia’s fake accusations.

“Unfortunately, even the UN today does not rule out that Russia’s briefing on biological laboratories can be one of the possible stages of preparations for the Kremlin’s ‘hawks’ to launch biological/chemical operations within the territory of Ukraine,” Podolyak stressed.
