In Sumy, warehouses caught on fire due to enemy explosions. People are asked to close their windows and not to go outside.

"At about 16:00 on March 18, as a result of artillery shelling, a one-story warehouse building with paints and varnishes caught on fire on an area of more than 6,000 square meters. No casualties have been reported so far," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

It is noted that explosions occurred at the warehouses in a residential neighborhood of the city. The warehouse of a private company is on fire.

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyy called on the residents of Sumy and Sumy district to close their windows and not to go outside.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine, and general mobilization was announced.
