Ukrainian Air Forces down cruise missile over Odesa Region

The Ukrainian Air Forces have downed an enemy cruise missile over Odesa Region.

The relevant statement was made by South Command Center on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At 05:00 a.m., March 18, 2022, the anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed an enemy naval cruise missile over Odesa Region,” the report states.

According to Serhii Bratchuk, the Operational Headquarters Spokesman at Odesa Regional Military Administration, Odesa territorial defense units are preparing to defend the city from Russian troops, as well as counteracting the efforts of Russian quislings and saboteurs.

In particular, on March 17, 2022, they revealed and destroyed a geodetic beacon attached to a pole near one of military infrastructure facilities in Odesa.

A reminder that today the Russian military have launched six cruise missiles, presumably X-555, from the Black Sea area on the city of Lviv. Two of them were downed by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense systems.
