Huge fire caused by shelling in Kharkiv

A huge fire has broken out in one of districts in the city of Kharkiv due to shelling.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On March 16, 2022, due to shelling in Slobidskyi District, a fire broke out within an area of 1,500 square meters in the warehouse premises. Casualties are yet to be reported,” the report states.

A total of 50 rescuers and nine equipment units have been involved in extinguishing the fire.

A reminder that Russian invaders are making unsuccessful attempts to block Kharkiv.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians in Ukraine.
