Russian invaders could be mining agricultural lands

In a number of regions of Ukraine there is a threat of Russian occupiers planting mines on agricultural lands.

That’s according to Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, who spoke during a national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"In fact, unfortunately, there is a huge threat to agriculture in a number of regions as well, because not only industrial facilities are being mined, not only infrastructure facilities, not only cities but, unfortunately, agricultural lands, too," Denysenko said. .

"Of course, we are compiling such maps now, collecting such information in full across all regions. First of all, this is where Russian troops are now deployed, Even now, it is being collected, including in the areas where the enemy used to be, where we pushed them back," Denysenko said, answering the question of whether there is currently a map of mines planted by Russian invaders across the Ukrainian territories.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a massive invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns, using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles.
