Missile strike on TV tower near Rivne: Death toll rises to 19

The death toll from a missile strike on a TV tower near Rivne has risen to 19.

"Unfortunately, we have to say that the number of victims is bigger. The rubble are still clearing away, and as of 08:30 this morning we have 19 people killed and 9 injured," Head of the Rivne Military Administration Vitaliy Koval said during the nationwide telethon.

According to him, the figure is not yet final. However, he expects the works to remove rubble to be completed in a few hours.

As reported, on the morning of March 14, two Russian missiles hit the TV tower and an administrative building near Rivne.

On February 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. Ukraine repels Russian invaders.
