78 children killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine - Zelensky

A total of 78 children were killed as a result of attacks launched by Russian troops during the war against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his address to the Polish parliament on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"It is believed that the number 7 brings happiness. That's how many neighbors God has given Ukraine. Does it bring us happiness? The whole world knows the answer today. And 78 Ukrainian children who died from missiles and shelling by Russia know this answer better than others. A neighbor who brought trouble and war to our land. A neighbor who obviously acts without God," he said.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure, with missiles hitting Ukrainians' homes. Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
