Enemy bombards stadium, library in Chernihiv

In Chernihiv, a stadium and a library were damaged, and water supply system was cut off as a result of enemy bombardment.

"Gagarin Stadium and a library in Chernihiv. Strategic military facilities. This is agony, they are hitting civilian facilities, I think they will soon run out of shells and ammunition. I know that the water supply system was broken,” Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said in a morning video address.

The repair works are ongoing to restore water, electricity, heat supply in the city, the official added.

As reported, on March 10, Chernihiv was cut off from centralized gas supply due to the shelling. On March 11, Chernihiv was cut off from centralized water supply.

On February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced the start of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, missiles are hitting houses.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
