Zelenska: We ask NATO to close our sky on behalf of entire Ukraine

On behalf of entire Ukraine, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska is asking the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to close the skies.

The relevant statement was made by Olena Zelenska on her Facebook page after an air strike hit a maternity and children’s hospital in the city of Mariupol, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Mariupol. Just now. Russian airstrike on the medical center and maternity hospital. That’s a terrifying video, but we can’t see the worst yet. We do not know how many mothers and children were killed and injured. We ask NATO to close our sky on behalf of entire Ukraine. We ask for anything like this to never happen again, but we are not being heard. In the meantime, the enemy planes are blatantly murdering civilians,” Zelenska wrote.

A reminder that, on March 9, 2022, the Russian military launched an air strike on a maternity hospital in downtown Mariupol. According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko, 17 health workers and one pregnant woman were injured.
