Ukraine Army destroyed eight air targets within JFO area over past two days

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed at least eight air targets within the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past two days.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On March 8, 2022 and March 9, 2022, the anti-aircraft defense units of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed at least eight air targets within the JFO area. Fighter aircrafts, surface-to-air missile systems S-300 and Buk-M1 destroyed Russia’s four Su-25 attack aircrafts and two helicopters. There is also evidence of two downed cruise missiles,” the report states.

The attack aircrafts and bombers of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to provide support for the Ground Forces in different strategic directions and launch missile and air strikes on the columns of enemy vehicles.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian invaders are destroying the key infrastructure facilities, shelling residential houses and killing civilians.
