"Evacuation buses with town residents left Enerhodar for Zaporizhia," Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

At the same time, Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatoliy Kurtev informed that the city has already prepared a center for evacuees.

"We believe that children, women, the elderly – soon everyone will be safe! The evacuation has already begun: the convoy has left Enerhodar. We hope that people will reach Zaporizhzhia, and we will meet them, warm them up, and provide the necessary assistance,” Kurtev wrote.

At the same time, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh posted on Telegram that the Russian military did not allow a convoy of humanitarian cargo from Zaporizhzhia to enter Enerhodar.

“The convoy, which consisted of buses and five trucks, was fully prepared. We sent it, our troops passed it, the convoy reached Vasylivka and Russian troops sent it back,” Starukh noted.

As previously reported, today, March 9, under the auspices of the Red Cross, a humanitarian corridor is being organized from Zaporizhzhia to Enerhodar, and a green one – to evacuate the population – to the city of Zaporizhzhia. The ceasefire was announced from 09:00.
