Ten houses catch fire, one civilian killed, two wounded in enemy shelling in Chernihiv region

As a result of an enemy shelling of villages in Chernihiv region, 10 households caught fire. The enemy also fired on one of the central streets of the regional center, Chernihiv. One person was killed and two were injured.

The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration issued a relevant report on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"On the night of March 9, Russian troops fired on the outskirts of a number of settlements in Starobilovsky territorial community, Chernihiv region. According to preliminary reports, fire broke out in 10 households. Reports on the victims are being verified. One of the central streets of Chernihiv was also shelled," the statement said.

According to the State Emergency Service, 18 fires were reported across Chernihiv region over the past 24 hours. One person died and two were injured.

In addition, as a result of hostilities, 102 settlements across the region remain without electricity supply. Restoration works are carried out wherever it is possible.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in Chernihiv region, Ukrainian troops are shelling the positions of Russian invaders on the Kyiv highway.
