Russia to bear responsibility for exposing world to nuclear danger – Kuleba

Russia will be held responsible for exposing the world to nuclear danger, as it has seized the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the Chornobyl zone.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this on the air of the nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Russia will bear responsibility... for exposing the world to nuclear danger by capturing the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant or Chornobyl. We will do that [bring Russia to justice], I guarantee you 100%,” he stressed.

Kuleba noted that the situation has somewhat stabilized following various communications as part of which the Russians were made to understand that a nuclear facility is not a toy, it is a different level of threat.

On February 24, Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to Ukrainian President's Office head, said that the Ukrainian military had lost control of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. Nothing is known about the state of the Chernobyl facilities and nuclear waste storage facilities.

The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was captured by Russian troops overnight into March 4. The station was stormed by an enemy column, which consisted of about 100 units of military equipment.
