Four European countries launch investigation into Russia's war crimes - Venediktova

Lithuania, Poland, Estonia and Germany have launched an investigation into the Russian Federation's war crimes.

Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Four European countries are already investigating Russian war crimes. Thank you Lithuania, Poland, Estonia and Germany,” she wrote.

Venediktova noted that the world coalition is growing daily. “Together we will be victorious on legal fronts!” she stressed.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.

Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
