Ukraine’s air defense unit shoots down Russian plane in Odesa region

A Russian air defense unit shot down a Russian plane that was attacking a military infrastructure facility.

"Near Zatoka resort town, Odesa region, Ukraine’s air defense unit shot down a Russian plane that was attacking a military infrastructure facility," the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

The pilot, who ejected himself from an aircraft, is being searched.

As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.

Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, and missiles hit Ukrainians' homes.
