Russian invaders let firefighters into Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which is on fire following a Russian attack.

Ukraine’s Energoatom wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Firefighters have been allowed to enter Zaporizhzhia NPP," said Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

It is noted that currently the wind from the NPP is blowing towards the south-eastern part of Ukraine and in the direction of major Russian cities: Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar.

As reported, Zaporizhzhia NPP declared nuclear threat due to being shelled by Russia’s heavy weapons.

On the first day of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24, Russian troops seized the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
