Two Ukrainians killed in Kharkiv after shelling of residential area – Interior Ministry

Two people were killed after the Russian army shelled the Saltivka residential area in Kharkiv.

According to Ukrinform, Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, announced this on the Telegram messaging app.

"Two Ukrainians were killed after the shelling of the Saltivka residential area in the city of Kharkiv!" he wrote.

As was reported earlier, the head of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, on February 24 announced the beginning of a special military operation in Donbas. At around 04:00 on February 24, Russia launched airstrikes against Ukraine and started the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that martial law was being introduced throughout Ukraine. Early on February 24, the Verkhovna Rada approved a presidential decree on the introduction of martial law across Ukraine.
