Talks with Russia to start in several hours – Venislavsky

The Ukrainian and Russian delegations will start talks in several hours, as the Ukrainian team will be reaching the border with Belarus using a different route and it will take longer than expected.

The relevant statement was made by Representative of the President in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Fedir Venislavsky on Rada TV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The distance from Kyiv to the site of talks is small but, due to the security situation, the route has changed, and I think talks will start in the next few hours. To ensure the maximum security for our delegation, they took a route that does not endanger their lives, and so that their location is unknown,” Venislavsky told.

Meanwhile, he did not provide details on delegation members. According to Venislavsky, by the end of the day, we will have information about the initial positions and the results achieved.

Venislavsky also noted that Belarus will take part in talks but act as observers or representatives of the Russian authorities.
